Because It's Canada, Eh?

My husband is a Celtic music fanatic. He plays in a Celtic band and loves to listen to live music every chance he gets. Whenever we visit a new city, one of the first things he does is check out the closest Irish pub to see if there's a band playing.

This weekend we were in Vancouver, BC. On the drive in, he spotted a banner in a pub reading, "Live Irish Music, Nightly." He made note of the pub name and called them late that evening.

"Can you tell me who's playing tonight?" he asked.

"An yes," said the waitress. "It's the Canucks against the Canadiens."

Ah, Canada.

Eh?

So let me know when you'll be Near Philadelphia -- we have a terrific Irish pub nearby with good food and good music. It would be our pleasure to introduce you to it!

Word Verification: kessupt, a condiment where ordinary ketchup is mixed with some sour cream. Most people find it disgusting.

I read your post to my musician hubby and we both laughed again! Great joke, eh? My hubby plays in a band and there is another similarly named band around here as well. He read in the local paper that his band was playing somewhere (it wasn't) and called the place up and asked who was really playing, then told them he wished it was _________ (his band's name) because they rock!! Funny man.
